I doubt he'll even finish Winds of Winter, to be honest. Even if he does, no way he finishes A Dream of Spring...if that's actually the last book, there's a decent chance he'll need an 8th one with the amount of plots he has to close.

GRRM did also mention this week that Winds is on track to be the longest book yet, and even fears Penguin might try to break it up. So, Spring might possibly be enough to close it all out (even though Spring itself might possibly sorta be the 8th book due to Penguin).

Things I love: Batman, Superman, AEW, old films, Lovecraft

Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”

I don’t like this news. This report claims House of the Dragon’s next season won’t be until 2024, basically.

If GRRM bites the dust. I'll bet there is a contractual agreement that someone else picks it up.

He better. Martin said the medieval kings who had their succession issues all sorted out before their death were the most successful. Be ironic if he doesn't apply that wisdom to himself.

Finally saw the last episode. A lot of talk, talk, talk, leading to a stupid death that will spark a war next season. A season I won't be back for.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

I couldn't make it even that far, too many other shows I actually enjoy watching to waste on something that's only just barely okay.

Well it did take me a month to get around to it.
