Default Your favorite Saturday morning cartoons of the 60s and 70s

Going off ilostmyplace's very successful thread, I decided to throw a bone at some of us old folks and ask the question:

What was your favorite Saturday morning cartoons of the 60s and 70s?

Scooby Doo Where Are You and The New Scooby Doo Movies were definitely favorites of mine.

Super Friends and Challenge of the Super Friends also.

    Josie and the Pussycats

Although they weren't animated, I loved Sid & Marty Kroft shows - HR Puffinstuf, Bugaloos, Lidsville, Land of the Lost, etc....

I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

I was always there for the Krofft Supershow, though that was live action and not animated.

The animated shows kind of blended together for me in a Hanna-Barbera-verse. I liked 'em all.

I forgot all about that until you mentioned it. Was that the one with Dr. $hrinker and Bigfoot & Wild Boy (or something like that)?

Yes, also Wonder Bug, Electra Woman and Dyna Girl, and Magic Mongo (Lennie Weinrib as a genie in a Hawaiian shirt).

All hosted by kid-friendly glam rock band Kaptain Kool and the Kongs.

My favourite Krofft show was H.R. PUFNSTUF. But it is kind of creepy.

In truth, my measure for what were the best shows were the opening credits. It they had a catchy tune, I thought they were great. But did I actually sit still and watch the show straight through? Probably not.

Great openings: THE MIGHTY HERCULES, ATOM ANT, THE BUGS BUNNY SHOW, THE LANCELOT LINK SECRET CHIMP HOUR, JOHNNY QUEST, SPACE GHOST.

FIREBALL XL5 end credits were the best. ROCKET ROBIN HOOD had a stirring opening credits sequence--it's a journey--but I don't remember the actual show being as good.

THE BEATLES was a show worth watching all the way through because it featured a few different songs within each episode--four songs per episode not counting the intro.
