I may be misremembering, but I thought Sinister only aligned with Nazi Germany because they gave him free reign for his human experiments and otherwise didn't give two s***s about their agenda, much less believed in it.

I wish they'd add in a lil more his freaky Flat Top and Gapped Fang look, but I'm digging the char and his beats a lot. Although he's better when there's a powerful straight (no pun intended!) Char to play off

True enough. A lot of them were just in it for personal ambition and/or an excuse to vent their sadism, which would in some ways make them even worse compared to the so-called "true believers." Sinister being in that category would definitely make him much eviler than would be palatable for a lot of people. Then we have some versions of the Red Skull, Marvel's chief Nazi supervillain, that renounced Nazism, not because they thought it was evil, but because they thought the Nazis were thinking too small, so disconnecting a villain from the Nazis doesn't necessarily make them more sympathetic or acceptable. That much is indeed true.
