I do love seeing Scott and Yana working together. The rapport they picked up under Bendis was one of the high points of his run.

Had I been told as a wee adolescent, when I was ravaging the back issues of my LCS to find any and all Illyana content (which, at the time was restricted to her pre Inferno appearances, so the 80's content exclusively), that one day THESE TWO(??) -- Illyana and CYCLOPS -- would be the duo I THRILL to see on panel together, I'd have shoved that person in disbelief.

But here I am.
LOVING them so much.

Its remarkable how far this relationship has come from Scott deciding Illyana needs to be locked up with an incendiary device strapped to her chest, to Illyana breaking Scott out of prison to start a revolution, to Scott entrusting Illyana to watch over his son in Otherworld, and just being playful battle buddies. My heart runneth over.

I DO enjoy the aesthetic/sex-appeal of the Scott with his auburn locks exposed.
But I also recognize the appeal of the recognizable sleek silhouette afforded him from his wet-suit look.

But yeah. I'm definitely a sucker for his swoop.

Art does seem sharper. Thought it might be a colorist change, but nope, the same. Also, FYI, Villa was a fill-in for Larraz. The Rogue issue, #9, I think it was.

More or less, though it did seem like Destiny & Gambit stole the limelight. But their beef centered around her, so there was that.

The further we get away from the Jim Lee look, the better, in my opinion.

The only hair-out Cyke i accept (outside of civvies) is the Jamie McKelvie X-Men blue look. But that only works for young Scott.
