It'll be interesting to see if this issue sticks to the disaster of the week format or delves into "judging" the new X-Men recruits.

The first year, yes.
The only detraction I have so far for year two and the one issue we've gotten is that it's part of a (imo) forgettable, uninspiring event.
Lord Ewing *Praise His name! Uplift Him in song!* Your divine works will be remembered and glorified in worship for all eternity. Amen!
Now that Destiny is alive again and on the Council she's the convenient plot device to explain the X-Men taking time out in the middle of Judgement Day for this. One vision, a telepathic call to Jean, and everyone knows there's a need to stop some aliens from blowing up the sun.
You'd think Orchis and their Sentinels would have some opposition to someone trying to destroy Earth via the sun since they're orbiting it.
It is amusing to me that the faux Celestial is all "I'm the judge, you have 24 hours" but aliens might blow up the Earth before that passes.
I do love seeing Scott and Yana working together. The rapport they picked up under Bendis was one of the high points of his run.
Dark does not mean deep.
Co-signed. Very happy to see them on a team together again.
