I could stomach the plant monsters, QQ deaths and the the never resolved plot points but Percy turning Sage into a lush is just too much for me to forgive. Get this man off X-Force immediately. This run has been a abysmal failure and has wasted the talents of some great artists.

Beast doesn’t want the mutant victims of X-gene MUTANT trafficking to migrate to Krakoa because they are just merely rabble (“victims and undesirables”) who are not value-adding (“do little to burnish our strength and reputation”) in his own opinion and are in fact value-subtracting (“dirty our shores”)

That’s not what the OP is referring to. Hank says that Omega Red has “dirtied our shores with victims and undesirables who will do little to burnish our strength and reputation”

He’s saying that Hank thinks he deserves the right to decide who comes on Krakoa. This mission was supposed to be a distraction and good PR for Krakoa, but it was never really about freeing them back to Krakoa.

The only way to make this right is if it gets revealed that dealing with Best and his actions for so long has finally driven her deep into the bottle in response to the QC's refusal to appoint any kind of oversight. Couldn't blame her.

Let me expand. This is actually a good thing. We're not supposed to see this an evolution of Sage's character because it's not. She's actively breaking down because of the horrible things she's being forced to do as part of X-force, which is realistic and is honestly something you can do with a character who seems to be the lone voice of reason in an increasingly ammoral intelligence service bound to the will of Beast and given the QC's quiet approval.

Like honestly, my immediate reaction was disgust that the character is doing this, but after a second, no, this is how someone with a conscience like Sage has is going to react after being forced to be complicit in all of the things Beast is doing. This entire book has been about how being part of X-force is breaking everyone down except Beast, who is being encouraged to radicalize more.
