Hey, I’m a British guy with no vampire powers - I’ll do it!

Blade got his more Vampiric powers before Snipes though...

The funny thing about BLADE is if you weren't a corrupt corporation this would be a slam dunk. Make a 30 million dollar rated R movie on a secluded estate somewhere and have Blade try and find a Vampire in a group of normies. But we all know how DISNEY is with their need for hidden car commercials, and four quadrant appeals to the greater audience and the toys will someone please think of the toys. We all know what we are going to get....actually I'm pretty sure we're not going to get this movie.

Yeah, in his original origin he was born in SoHo of London I'm not 100% sure if that is still canon with the various updates.

Speaking of Blade’s origins, I always wondered if the makers of the OG movie cherry-picked Whistler from Spider-Man TAS. That Neogenic Nightmare arc was my first introduction to the Blade mythos.

This is true. The finished product (if it ever gets to that point) will probably have Blade in a fight with a big ass CGI bat or something.

So this is what Spider-Man: The Animated Series based their version of Blade on.

So ... the Blade movies are all a complete departure from the comics they are based on? Sounds like this is the MCU Constantine.

What is corrupt about any of that? Unless you are saying wanting to make money is itself corrupt?

Well what Disney has been doing is they've been selling their own product to themselves...basically defrauding the investors and artificially blowing up these budgets.
