I would say the first two original Blade films did totally fine with a hard R rating. This is just Disney being chaste as usual.

When adjusted for inflation Blade 1998 made the equivalent of 242 million and Blade 2 made the equivalent of 260 million and their budgets when adjusted are 85 million and 90 million while hits at the time by today standards that would be considered flops.

Why Disney or Marvel would want a PG-13 rating it allows more people to see it. The post I was replying to said the 1st 2 Blade films did fine with a Hard R and it's true, but even if adjusted for Inflation their numbers wouldn't be viewed as favorably today and thus the want for PG-13.

Quantumania and Black Adam would have been considered hits 20 years ago, but today the bar is higher.

I think I'll avoid reading anything he has to say since he's quoted as using the term, "real filmmaker." Also, he should ask Taika Waititi, Kenneth Branaugh, Chloé Zhao, Ryan Coogler, etc...

Here's some advice for him that he'll never see but applies to everyone these days: Just say, "it's not for me" and move on instead of being a douchebag.
