I kinda don't want to see a Crime Syndicate version of the Legion. We already have evil expys for many of them (Lightning Lord, Saturn Queen, Magno Lad, Chameleon Chief, etc. a good half of the Legion of Super-Villains are already 'bad versions' of good Legionnaires), and having a bunch of evil versions of Imra, Garth, Rokk, Brainy, etc. running around when we can't even consistently get a *good* version of the team in their own book feels oogy.

Plus, IMO, evil versions of teams almost always play to the most recognizable (i.e. oldest...) members of a team. Like how the Crime Syndicate is generally an evil Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash and Green Lantern, and there's rarely ever a Crime Syndicate expy of Vixen or Booster Gold or Icemaiden or Mera. If I'm going to read about a Legion, even an evil Legion, I'd kind of like some moving forward into characters introduced later, like Tellus or Dragonwing or Kid Quantum 2 or Dragonmage or Gazelle.

I've already seen four or more different iterations of 'the Founders + Brainy' over the decades and would like to see someone else come off the bench...

On Earth 3 Lightning Lord, Saturn Queen, and Cosmic King would be heroes.

Considering it was written by Geoff Johns, who's also rumoured to be penning whatever new LOSH project DC has in the cards, I'd say yes, it's very much current canon.

It literally just appeared in the issue of Flashpoint Beyond that came out this Tuesday. So it's definitely cannon right now. Ten years from now? Who knows.

Honestly they could ignore the 3boot Legion and just use Retroboot Legion, Post zero hour Legion, Bendis Legion, Evil Legion.
