It's okay. Could use a little more Alfred.

Don’t worry Batman vs Robin has you covered there
"It's fun and it's cool, so that's all that matters. It's what comics are for, Duh."

I'm eager for this event to end to see where it spins out too as well so I can reread everything from Death Metal to Infinite Frontier to Justice League Incarnate to Dark Crisis and its tie ins. Ive really enjoyed this event.

Also how great was DC The Dark Army

I tried it. The art is nice but I don’t have a big history with the DC characters. I know the old Crisis took place in the 80’s so maybe this plays better if you read that. I think it’s insane that a story that old would be the basis for a story in 2022.

Generally any major event/crisis plays better with all the lead up books having been read and having a pretty good knowledge of dc in general.

My comparison would be watching Endgame having not seen any marvel films. Not gonna go over to well.

is there a best order to read this? should someone just read in the published order, or how/where do issues like the Flash tie-ins take place?

Doesn't the checklist in the first post cover this?

that is the order the books were published. reading order is not always the same as published order.
take the Flash stories, for example. Are those more of an ongoing narrative that weaves in and out of the main Dark Crisis story? Are they a side story that takes completely between DCOIE 3 and 4? same for the Young Justice books. i prefer to read these crossover stories after they've finished, but want to read the story in the most chronological way possible.
