Indeed. Secret Empire made it look like all of Las Vegas had been destroyed, but it was just the major downtown area or so, allowing Ben (and Kaine) to continue having (mis)adventures in Las Vegas while still fighting demons, internal and external alike. Speaking of external demons . . . spoilers:

He lives in a casino hotel suite owned by Cassandra Mercury, whose daughter is dying of a degenerative disease that he is trying to cure, because he owes it to Cassandra after gypping her, along with so many other people, in The Clone Conspiracy with New U Technologies, promising to fully heal/restore people but instead replacing them with clones that ultimately fell apart after he went off the rails and tried to kill and "reanimate" the human race. So far, no, he has not invented any new gadgets, which is a crying shame from the same guy (maybe not quite, but for the purposes of the plot and setting, we're treating him like he is) who came up with impact webbing, stingers, and microdot tracers.
