Senators who blocked Obama’s nominee don’t get to complain about “monstrous” liberals. And assholes who shouted “lock her up!” don’t get to whine about innocent until proven guilty.
Democrats have become an angry mob, @realDonaldTrump ? Call me when they run over and kill a young girl, but be sure to say there’s worthy people on our side when you do, jerk.

Yup. Methinks either the only fans following him are oblivious or he deletes and blocks and tweets that critical of his stories like Slott.

Most likely all very young fans who have yet to develop critical faculties when reading comics.

I dunno, even the most green of readers can’t possibly find an ending that literally renders the entire story to be pointless good. I honestly want to know what it is that those who found it good are seeing in the issue that I’m apparently missing. Not just the last issue but these last 3 issues have been objectively bad especially with how they literally hinge on the plot hole of how Mephisto is involved period despite the fact that he should be locked up in his casino, something that no explanation is ever given for and instead is completely ignored.

You can say that the story is trash but calling fans that do "oblivious", yep.

I hope you are correct. Unfortunately, many people today are surprisingly naive.

PS I agree the ending was terrible and a letdown.

One is already in the works. In all seriousness though that was a bad ending.

There was one reply on his Twitter I saw where someone was saying how they were gonna wait until all the trades to be released before binging the whole series, but then they checked out this issue which they hated. And David's response was:

"Well, I hate people who sit around and wait for trades because you help kill books like Scarlet Spider, so I guess we're even."

So he is clearly bitter the series was cancelled, and so presumably had to end not completely on his terms. What his exact plans were, we'll just have to wait and see.

(And I'm sorry, when you purposefully write a series that is such a slow burn and kind of a mixed bag to most, you can't complain that some people would prefer the trade to be the better route)

By contrast his ending for 2099 volume 3, while still a tad rushed and with plenty unresolved, was a much better ending then what he
    gave Scarlet Spider.

This whole series has been a travesty...like at least in the beginning/middle it was likable but now it's gone from 'kinda bad' to full blown terribad and it sucks to see such mischaracterization of Ben Reilly by an obviously bitter writer receive any sort of adulation, but i'm apparently an 'elitist' so what do I know?

That's a pretty ignorant statement from PAD. Personally, I trade-wait because trades are a more reader-friendly format than standard comics, which I have to pull out of storage/protection and then handle carefully to prevent damage. Trades I can just grab straight off of my shelf and read.

But I guess it's easier to blame trade-waiters than just admit that maybe the story and/or artwork is lacking.
