It gets better when you remember the Council sent the guy trying to have parents consider if they were truly ready for kids thrown into the Pit.

Which gets even better when you rememebr as originally described it was a sensory deprivation tank. Anyone want to guess if Charles knows how long it takes for those things to break people’s minds down permanently? Or until your brain starts shutting down all your senses because they aren’t receiving stimuli.

I knew it wasn't safe to post about the babies in answer to Micabe's post. I take full responsibility.

We see a lot of back and forth between mutants (like Exodus and Nightcrawler in this issue) arguing these very things, so I appreciate you saying that it is indeed nuanced. And yeah, the Eternals really look like crap right now. lol From the cover of Judgment Day Omega it seems humanity may fully turn on them.
I hadn’t been aware of the discussion about what happened to Reed. In relation to that is it going too far to suggest what happened to him is allegorically like some forms of sexual assault, especially the wiping of his mind afterwards? Can I just say I think Nightcrawler often comes out of these discussions well as he very much seems to be the voice of compassion and asks the moral questions.

I think I'll respectfully bow out on the topic of Xavier/Reed as I'm still recovering from the old wars. I personally wouldn't equate it to sexual assault but to each their own. And yeah, Nightcrawler is definitely one of mutantdom's shiniest lights.

Regarding Judgment Day, I wasn't planning on picking up AXE: Avengers - did anyone read and enjoy it, and should I get it?

It mostly delves into Tony's past and what motivates his actions. I enjoyed it but I'm usually into Tony and introspective stuff. If you're not than I don't think it's essential. However I think it revealed one crucial piece of information at the end.

Thank you for the insight, I appreciate it. I'll check it out!
