The idea that Rolf Harris is British is something I've discovered only in the last few years and rebels against my senses. To me he was always Australian-Canadian. Australian in that he sounded Australian and his big hit was "Six White Boomers" and Canadian because I saw him perform "Six White Boomers" live in Vancouver when I was little and he was on local T.V. a fair bit--even had a song called "Vancouver Town." He was almost as Canadian as the Irish Rovers.

well i was a kid in the 1980s so i guess I watched "weird" shows such as Small Wonder or Night Court
then i was a teenager in the 1990s where I watched deranged stuff so to say like Ren and Stimpy, Daria, and Beavis and Butthead.
During the early 90s when the Dragon Warrior games/Quest were kind of popular on Nintendo for a bit (Before the Final Fantasy series kind of took that over) , there was a brief anime adaptation dubbed by Saban that aired on TV briefly-I remember seeing a bit of it.
It featured designs by Akira Toriyama, so in some ways, it could be considered a sort of "proto-Dragonball" for Western audiences.

I would say definitely. Adding to the early Nickeledon programming, there's this of course: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLCg1kb1sA0

My favorite was the New Adventures of Huck Finn. Here is the closing song and credits:
These were 20-minute episodes about the adventures of Huck, Tom Sawyer and Becky Thatcher around the world, getting pursued by Injun Joe and a host of other bad guys. It was a show that played as part of the show called the Banana Splits. People have sampled the Banana Splits theme song.
Lu Ann Haslam was my crush back then.
For a more modern show, that my kids used to watch .... Lazytown. It was an Icelandic, crazy show of epic proportions.

Every day is a gift, not a given right.
I have a vague memory of a tv show where an orangutan was President of the United States.... or did I dream that?
Was that Mr Smith? Also there was out of this World. A small Wonder type show about a girl with an alien dad who communicates with her via a radio that plays doo wop music.
Ever watch dr Fad or those other "science is fun" shows?
In Australia we had the Curiosity show, a boring educational show featuring hosts with bad moustaches and 1982 clothing. It of course featured the string can telephone. The hosts could hear each other perfectly. Probably since they were only two feet away from each other
Mr Ben. Mr Noseybonk. Rentaghost. The Magic Roundabout. Clangers. British children’s TV used to be commendably weird.

Hopefully this counts, but my next choice would be...
Krazy Kat
My Mother the Car. Nobody's gonna beat that for weird TV.
