Here's some naked Slade fanservice...in case you were asking for that.

From what can be seen of fan art with him and Dick in different situations, the character's target audience is served.

Hope there's a rematch with Ollie later.

Deathstroke the Terminator taking a page from another type of Terminator. Besides running around naked, he's carjacking someone and just saying "Get out" or "Out. Now."

I'm a bit behind, how is the Year One arc currently being received so far?

Can't speak for the whole series but I picked the last issue up on a whim and was pleasantly surprised, so I'm going to double dip.

    I think it's pretty decent.

Interesting thing I heard is that apparently this is the most in depth we have explored of Deathstroke's experiment that gave him his powers

As in its shown in greater detail beyond quick flashbacks and such

It is the most in depth look we've gotten about how Deathstroke got his powers. What I don't like is the implication that the super soilder serum is what corrupted him, feels like another excuse by writers to justify or white wash his crimes.

It could go either way. Yeah the military almost killed him for their own gain but he still had a choice to be a better father and husband and not go out at night looking for fights cuz he was bored. Having Ollie show up shows he could've used his new powers for good instead of revenge.

The first part of the story having Slade make the choice to go into mercenary work over staying with his family does showcase pretty well that he always had a choice.

And I may have to reread it but the narration indicates that he was completely coherent when he made this decision and it was motivated by feelings of boredom and loss of purpose if he isn't a soldier, meaning working is more important than family to him.
