Newbie needing advice on which Batman title to subscribe to

Just starting out subscribing to books on a regular basis. I have done random graphic novels over the past few years. I want to add a Batman title to my subscription list. Should I do the main book, Detective, or Legend of the Dark Knight?

The correct answer is Batman and Detective.
If you can only do one... I think historically Detective has had more interesting creative teams/runs, so Detective.
(I think Legends was a limited series and is over).

How familiar are you to the character and their world? Are those graphic novel include some Batman?

Yes, but as far as timelines I just read lol. No particular order, so I wouldn't know the current stories.
