Poor Cathy Lee Crosby. No one ever remembers her as WW.

    I do!

And while not the Wonder Woman we might traditionally be used to, I liked this Cathy Lee version too!

I like Gal. I haven’t been fully satisfied with either of her WW films, but I don’t put the blame on her. I often see people call her a limited actress. Lynda is limited, too.

Having said that, Lynda is my favorite. My eight year old self had never seen anyone so beautiful. That leaves an indelible impression.

“You see…the rest of them are soldiers. But [Wonder Woman] is an artist.”

I only support the made of clay origin.

Yeah, whenever people compare Lynda and Gal, some mention Gal's limited acting range as if Lynda were some sort of Meryl Streep-level talent. Not even close. Both women are mediocre at best when it comes to actual acting. However, I love them both because they both totally brought Diana to life with indelible charm, supernova likeability and an aura of kindness that is everything I wanted in a live-action Wonder Woman.

I don't like when women are artificially pitted against one another (one of the most basic and base tropes of Patriarchy) so my response is about the approach. While both had their problems I think Lynda's interp was much truer to the spirit of the character's design. In many ways I believe her approach was superlative and represented a logical evolution of the design. Unfortunately Gal's interp was in this 52/Johns/Snyder glop that was inherently flawed at the core.

    Refreshing, isn't it?
Keep in mind that you have about as much chance of changing my mind as I do of changing yours.
