She's probably sensing his life force depleting. Props to Ewing for bringing back that long lost ability in a real subtle way!

Him telling Storm to watch Xavier is concerning though. She still thinks of him as a father figure so she might not be the absolute best one to keep him in check.

I do hope before this we get some insight into what the squad that was assembled at the end of issue #6 was doing before Uranos’ defeat.

Hm, idk, I’ve always seen Ororo’s thoughts on Xavier as more complicated, the times he came back while she was leader we’re sometimes tense.

I agree with this. Storm has decades of history of checking him when she felt like doing it. Of all of them she's the best at doing it.

There's no way Magneto stays dead one way or another, but Ewing is mining this for as much genuine pathos and tragedy as he can.

Also finally bringing back the "new gods" line and making the irony palpable.

My man Ewing just doesn't miss. Can't wait for this issue and all the goodness he's gonna serve. I need to go pour one for Magneto, Hero of Krakoa.

This looks so GOOD! The Storm/Magneto bromance has been great. It’ll be great to see if the team get some much needed revenge on Uranos’s tech now that he is “dead”. Some good moments for them to shine while Storm deals with Isca. I also don’t see this being Magneto’s end (heroic as it is). Him comimg back would/should have ramifications but I can see a Charles (and others) looking to being him back, even against his will.
