btw Blondie is a great reference! its canonical. Ben Caldwell used Debbie Harry as his reference when designing Dazzler during A-force!

Like a Red Dragon, The Phoenix shall Soar in 2024!
This thread reminded me that for whatever reason this song has been stuck in my head for a couple of decades now.
All of these are brilliant. I'm making a spotify playlist with these and I'll drop it once this thread peters out.
I know Ali went through many eras of popular music - what were her biggest flop eras?
I like to imagine she fell off musically in the 80's Australian era because she made a bad album or two (at the insistence of her manager) and was just embarrassed to be in the public spotlight. Imagine performing at the Grammys when all you can think about is how you were ruthlessly compared to an out-of-touch Cyndi Lauper.
flop eras would be Beauty and the Beast era no explanation needed. UK era post Die By The Sword. too much heartache. definitely the Anniversary Tours for "Sounds of Light and Fury" during Astonishing.
let's keep this train going!
this track I always think of as "Pre-teen Ali at the Skate Park doing tricks on her blades"
I also like to think of it as the song playing at Numero Uno, that gives her power after the dj abandons his post, that she maneuvers through the heroes and blasts Enchantress's Monster back to the realm it emerged from in the phenomenal 2nd issue of her book.
this goes on the playlist for sure
Playlist and Modern Dazzler Sound.
This song plays from Ali's miniature GhettoBlaster in the issue where she and the Blue Shield beat up on some gangsters on a pier from her Title. 1981.
definitely one of "her" songs. Playlist and Live Performance piece played during her California tour and Rose Bowl Performance.
Of course this modern classic makes the cut.
THIS IS WHAT HER ROLLERSKATES SOUND LIKE!!
