Post Top Marvel Artist Right Now

In every time period of Marvel, there have always been some group artists whose names are identified with the most important projects and the house style. Some are celebrated or highlighted with Young Guns / Stormbreakers line-ups, some are not. A few years ago you could've name ones like Steve McNiven, Mike Deodato and Olivier Coipel at the top of that list. But I feel like thing have changed in the recent years. So, who would you put to the top of today's list of many talented artists working regularly with Marvel?

Here are some names that come to my mind with their great interior work in the recent years.

    Valerio Schiti
Recent notable works: Empyre, Inferno, A.X.E. Judgment Day, Tony Stark: Iron Man, S.W.O.R.D.

    Pepe Larraz
Recent notable works: Avengers: No Surrender, House of X, X-Men

    Marco Checchetto
Recent notable works: Daredevil, Devil's Reign, Old Man Hawkeye

    Joshua Cassara
Recent notable works: X-Force, X Lives of Wolverine

    R.B. Silva
Recent notable works: Powers of X, Fantastic Four, Captain America: Symbol of Truth

    Esad Ribic
Recent notable works: Eternals, Secret Wars

    Russell Dauterman
Recent notable works: Mighty Thor, War of the Realms, X-Men: Hellfire Gala

    Bryan Hitch
Recent notable works: Venom, Age of Ultron

    Javier Rodriguez
Recent notable works: Defenders, History of the Marvel Universe

    Stefano Caselli
Recent notable works: X-Men: Red, Inferno, Avengers

    Leinil Francis Yu
Recent notable works: X-Men, Captain America

    John Romita Jr.
    Recent notable works: Amazing Spider-Man

    Adam Kubert
Recent notable works: Wolverine, Captain America

    Ed McGuinness
Recent notable works: Avengers, Heroes Reborn

    Mark Bagley
Recent notable works: Sinister War, Spider-Man

A few more: Mahmud Asrar, Patrick Gleason, Ryan Ottley, Phil Noto, Aaron Kuder

I picked Pepe Larraz, but betwen him, Caselli, Schiti and Rodriguez, it was a tough choice.
Bringing back the old, killing the young: that's the Marvel way

I personally love Yu's epic scope and his depiction of heroes look mythic and intimidating.

Right now it’s gotta be Pepe Larraz, even if his design work for regular humans can leave a lot to be desired (i.e. Firestar).
But I think RB Silva and Valerio Schiti are also up there.

I liked him better during this period. I’m not sure what happened but his art lost a bit of its appeal to me after Secret Invasion.

EDIT: Forgot to mention the awesome Russel Dauterman, but he does so few interior work these days that he’d be an honorable mention.

I feel like he's gotten more intense, he makes people's very scary; which I personally like.

His shadow work *muah* chef's kiss

*also he really seems to hate backgrounds*

Georges Jeanty is my next choice, hoping to see more from him soon.

A lot of times his works feels rushed to me. It’s not unusual to get no backgrounds, weird faces and unnatural anatomy from him.
When he is good, he’s REALLY good, but he’s just not as consistently great as someone like Larraz or RB anymore. IMO obviously.

Just about everyone on that list is worthy except for Joshua Cassara. And that's because I honestly had not heard of him since I don't read those titles.
