    Default Sound of 007

Anybody watch this on Amazon? It's an interesting documentary, although it doesn't go into details about every song. Although it mainly focuses a lot on Zimmer and Billie Elish's work (Reveals Ellish also did the vocals for the theme played during Bond and Madeline's last kiss) It's kind of frank in a few ways-We get a bit on the John Barry/Duran Duran fued, Jack White admitting his song for QOS was meh, a bit on Radiohead's alternate SPECTRE song, how Saltzman came close to rejecting Goldfinger and Live and Let Die(!) Shirley not liking her Moonraker song, and also a sad bit on Amy Winehouse.

Interesting that John Barry and Duran Duran had a feud.

While a View to a Kill was arguably not one of the best Bond movies of all time (Though I did love Christopher Walken and Grace Jones performance) for me it is one of the best soundtracks, both by Barry and Duran Duran.

Think he also had some problems with A-Ha in The Living Daylights. Think maybe because he was maybe more used to just one main singer instead of a larger band. Then again he seemed to be OK with the Pretenders (with their music being used a lot more in the film than A-HA).

Yeah, one of the best bits of AVTAK's soundtrack is pretty much He's Dangerous which is pretty much an 80ish version of the OHMSS theme. Plus the slowed down instrumental version of the main theme really works well as romantic music.

This isn't related to the documentary, but this is a fun piece of Bond Music trivia regarding the two non-Eon pictures.

The theme for Casino Royale was done by Herb Alpert.
The theme from Never Say Never Again was sung by Lani Hall.

Hall and Alpert were married to each other.
