    That's a wicked cool design.

At the moment the Superman comics actually look like they are worth following again.
When it comes to comics, one person's "fan-service" is another persons personal cannon. So by definition it's ALL fan service. Aren't we ALL fans?
SUPERMAN is the greatest fictional character ever created.

was going to say that it really is invoking that golden age rouge gunner hero with the likes of the Shadow and The Crimson Avenger while also having some moon knight tones to it

wonder it it going to be a Manchester Black anti-hero level of butting heads or a Spider-man butting heads with nuVenom level

    NIGHT OF THE PARASITE!
Superman is overwhelmed as Parasite's new powers are unleashed! Can Superman stop all of Metropolis from being consumed by the power-hungry Parasite or will he need Lex Luthor's help to save the day? Introducing a new antihero—Marilyn Moonlight, the Spirit of Metropolis—who only operates at night! Is she friend or foe to the Man of Steel?! And how does she connect to Metropolis's secret past?
I like her design and the Shadow influence seems obvious. I would have gone with a secret Doc Savage-esque predecessor hero for Superman myself, but I’m curious to know what her deal is. I’m glad to see both Parasite and Metallo are finally getting upgrades to their power sets which is something they’ve each long needed.

Doesn't Iron Munroe sort of fill that role?

For when Roy Thomas needed a Superman replacement he did, but far as I know he has no relationship with Metropolis. I’m not the biggest expert on his deal however.

Love at first sight for me. Hats off to whoever designed this character.

Very cool looking pulp anti-hero and a great addition to Metropolis’ mythology. The city could use a Shadow-like dark avenger.

Plus she seems to have meta abilities that can gives Superman problems.

Let me guess, this character is gonna kill?good ol superhero superman doesn't approve. So the character is deemed "anti heroine".this is so dumb.

Anyways,i hope the character does have some of the pulp fiction troupes..

Hell yeah!i want one of those..in fact jeans and tshirt new52 guy devoid of the savior complex and motive would have fit nicely..making the character Less superheroic and pulp vigilante type would have done wonders..In fact, that character being incorporated into superman was a mistake in my view(that portion of the character Doesn't fit in with the rest of the characters history). The working class champion should have been it's own thing.

That is one cool design, admittedly, but the entire sales pitch for her in that solicit just makes me roll my eyes, from the word "antihero" onwards. And the name's terrible.

Gangbuster, Acrata (I think?), probably others whose name escapes me...there's always some supporting hero in Metropolis.

I remember when Bendis wrote Guardian like he was some kind of Daredevil pastiche.

Don't know if it's canon or not but Gangbuster is dead from Red tornado's Hero for hire book they wrote a while back

The new character has a cool design. Is she already getting tons of fanarts like Punchline and Yara when they were revealed?

Did he? Seems more like an speculation than a approach he would had do it.

We suppose. There is nothing official yet. But is sometthing I, at least, want to happen.
As to the Superboy rumors, are we talking Jon Kent Superboy or Clark Kent Superboy? It would be incredible if Clark Kent Superboy is revived though not sure how they would work that. Superboy won't get his own book but maybe they'd have flashbacks to Clark as Superboy in the Superman book? If my DC history is correct didn't they erase Superboy in the 90s. Ironically about the time the hit Gerard Christopher Superboy TV series was airing.

Could see her being popular with the cosplayers for sure. Yara got a boost from being the first Latina Wonder character and Punchline is a Bat who are essentially the main characters of the DCU lol.
