Probably should read Dark Crisis before making a final decision on Williamson. He’s currently churning out one of DC’s worst events in a long while.

Nah, plenty of writers have done solid work on solos and team books but turned in terrible events. Tom King is the perfect example, whatever your opinions on his work, his solo stuff tends to sell and be reviewed well whereas HiC got terrible reviews and reception. For a book like this, focused on one character, you can’t really make a prediction based on a book that’s juggling a massive cast and likely has heavy compromises with editorial demands. If you disliked Flash or Robin it’s a safe bet you won’t enjoy this, but if you just think Dark Crisis is bad but liked those ongoings, you should give this a chance.

I feel like editorial might have had a strong hand in with Dark Crisis.

The guy in the middle looks kinda different from the promo image. It looked like he was possibly a new version of Inspector Henderson. This guy isn’t wearing a badge and the high waters make him look a lot less official.

Dark Crisis always came off like a purely editorial driven story.

Nothing about it is really organically developed.

DC Dark Crisis was being developed in the Infinite Frontier books but I feel like it was pushed forward because those books were not exactly selling well, so some of the build-up to the event was dropped.

I think Dark Crisis as had some fun moments. Not great but not inherently bad. At least it respects the characters. When was the last DC event that was great?

Heroes in Crisis is the epitome of a bad event in my mind. Either way, I think Josh Williamson is a serviceable writer.

His short 4 issued on Batman were pretty good and Robin was great.

His Flash was pretty average but entertaining.

Nice to still have PKJ on Action though.

    Jamal Campbell's SUPERMAN is amazing.

And I also love the way he draws Jimmy Olsen.

Small tease of Superman's Pal for the new SUPERMAN series starting in February 2023.

Is Jimmy taking photos on his date or is this where he and Banshee get their "meet cute" moment?

Sneak peak from ACTION COMICS #1050 by the great @NickDragotta!

I love SFX on the page and Nick nailed the idea I had in the script! Awesome storytelling! Nick is also joining us on the new SUPERMAN series in 2023.

Excited for you to see ACTION COMICS #1050 in December!

Hah it probably is him and Banshee meeting up. Wonder if she’ll still be Irish?

Jamal Campbell's art is so good.

Starting the countdown to him moving to draw Bat-books...

Surprised to see Clark Kent at the Planet and LEx summoning him from LexCorp (not in prison yet?).

Honestly I would love it if they wrote her like she's still straight out of Ireland.
