He needs more than just powers to be distinguished. He needs a personality outside of "Clark-lite" (and that's when he does get some semblance of personality).

Then he probably has to wait a while cause ..In the 80years superman publishing history..Clark kents personality has been around the block.The character ain't batman with one tone consistent portrayal.(exception being the goofy tv show)

Funnily enough Jon is actually in a good position now to develop his personality.

Cause with his father back he doesn't have to live up to being "Superman", he can do whatever he wants.

Really he should have never been Superman to begin with, he's too young. Its just cruel and nepotism to expect him to automatically be the number 1 hero and lead his own Justice League.

Honestly it would have been more organic for either Kara or Con to succeed Clark's position while working alongside Jon to get him up to speed. Which hilariously is what they are currently doing with the super-team now. Its insane to expect a kid to do all this alone when he has a family who can support and mentor him, and I don't mean Dick. Thats just more cause Taylor happened to be writing both Jon and Dick's series.

Exhibit C: He's living alone on a boat. Surely he has to be a legal adult to do that?

TLDR - he was aged up from 16 to 18 in Rebirth, but hasn't aged up again since then even though Damian has aged up a year.

He was still sixteen as of Detective Comics: Rebirth #637. He was accepted into Ivy University's special projects program due to his genius.

Huh, going from an ongoing to a six-issue mini usually spells disaster, but it doesn't seem like they're treating it as a demotion...but maybe they know they need Clark more than Jon.

I think having Superman Blue powers will definitely help distinguish Jon from his dad.

Seeing Val-Zod will be nice, although I think we're at peak Superfamily on Earth-1.

Jon vs. Ultraman sounds like a fight that needs to happen, but I don't trust Taylor to do it justice.

Old grounds that nobody knows or even attribute to superman or how he is generally perceived...Old grounds that should be mined..If clark Ain't available then do it on others..After all they are superfamily...People won't miss out on old ideas that are good.

For example,the Bat-man used gun..The batman now doesn't..Lo and behold!jason todd appears with guns(a coincidence..but a welcome one)

Taylor dumping on Clark to promote his OCs? Perish the thought . I really shouldn’t let myself get annoyed because I don’t intend to read this, but damnit I am irritated at how badly this guy so clearly wants to leave his “mark” on Superman. All he does is swipe stuff from Clark or make Clark evil/stupid or have him be le wholesome chungus man for team ups with Batman, he does not deserve to be the guy who has this much control over the character. I’m just praying that fucking mysterious woman isn’t him canonizing “Lara”, his OC Super Daughter from the Injustice dream issue. Feels like something he would do, Jurgens beat him to making a son but by God Taylor is going to be the one to make a daughter.
