Oh no, he did say he thinks Krakoa was poisoned right before he was killed.
On a separate note, Ross read my mind:

Proably the only writer than can get me to pick up a fall of X issue that takes place on earth. lol. It's nothing even against the quality or the team or who it is or who it isn't, i think marvel has just finally burnt me the f*** out with falls. Like my mind flashes mday, a vs x, civil war, i vs x, and on and on and on. lol. So i know it has to be burn out. I need a break from the mutant at their lowest porn. And it's not so much the events themselves i think it's the actual stories that followed and i think someone who reads a lot of the x-men will know what i mean. It's taxing to watch them deal with the aftermath for years even if the book itself is quality.
Lol naw really thought about it, i don't even think chris can do the job. lol

The current status quo has the bones of some revolutionary ideas, but could certainly used a major makeover, so I'd hope as well that some of the horrible ideas and squishy moral compromises will get stripped away, and a shinier better Krakoa will emerge. (And Krakoa itself, as in the former-mutant-eating island, might not necessarily even be a major component of this new mutant reality, since, for all it's funkiness, the giant living island and all the plant-tech isn't *really* the heart and soul of the concept of a mutant nation, it's just trappings.)
