    There is a lot of slaughter in a New Hope. I mean in the detentionary scene... they just slaughter those imperial troops.

    One of the more brutal deaths in the films (In this case ESB) is a blink and you'll miss it effect of a TIE fighter pilot who ejects (or is propelled from the cockpit) when his ship collides with an asteroid. However, not fast enough as he's clearly on fire. If you play the effect real slow he even seems to be disintegrating....

    As violent as Star Wars is, it's not graphic violence. It's laser blasts, not bullets, and lightsabers are handy enough to cauterize wounds and minimize blood.

    Also, there's very little sex. Jabba and his activities aside, sex isn't really a factor until Attack of the Clones.
