I would love to see them resurrect that planned storyline where they had a child together (which was originally nightcrawler but editorial was lgbtphobic and told Chris Claremont no) i'd love to see destiny reveal shes pregnant and they have a blue or purple baby. I think it would be awesome and every lgbt person myself including can live vicariously through mystique and destinys miracle child family. Perhaps it could be a redemption arc for mystique.

"Screwed up their kids/lives of their kids" and "said kids are failures" are not inherently the same thing though? The former just means that like, Moms of the Year had negative fucking impacts on said kids' lives, lol. Or 'screwed up Rogue' can also just mean.....they had a negative impact on the course Rogue took through life.

Which, I mean.....kinda fits for Rogue's whole villain era from before she became an X-Man, when she was still a teen.

People aren't failures just because they've lived screwed up lives, they've just had lives that sucked to various degrees or at various times. By the same token, any person who says "my parents really screwed me up" or has someone saying that to them is not saying "Failure, party of one, right over here!" They're just saying...."man, my/your parents' impact on me/you was YIKES."
