Like with their line of books creating an cohesive long running story. Nope. I don’t think DC or marvel are thinking that far. Line wise they just bounce from story to story to get to the next event. Individual teams might have longer running plans.

It should be obvious to anyone that DC does not. The comics and continuity are approached in a generally haphazard manner and the company is often spinning its wheels and shooting itself in the foot.

    No they don't seem to.

But I believe that with someone helming a singular vision like Johns was doing with Rebirth, a plan could work despite the nature of comics.

Only recently did accept the big TWO stopped caring about long form storytelling and the impetus was the removal of Hickman from the X-line.

Hickman had a 3 year story to tell and they gave him the book after like 18 months.

DC gave Rebirth a little bit more time before things fell apart; that may be the last line wide initiative where they try to get every book on the same page.

I mean Dark Crisis is a nothing burger, so I believe it to be true.

I haven't been reading X-Men. What happened with Hickman?

I was under the impression he got bored and left while Marvel decided to extend the Krakoa thing longer.

The third year of the X-Men was supposed to be the fall of Krakoa but all the other writers he brought on wanted to keep it going so he left the line.

DC haven't had a five year plan in their history have they?

In the 90's I seem to recall DC (and Marvel) and the Superman and Batman offices would have their rough timelines for the next 12 months but that went the way of the dodo years ago.

DC doesn't even remember what it had for breakfast this morning!
