But Bravo to the Captn (And Ajax) for finding the frogman cover.
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

No contest for me--definitely Englehart Humperdinck. What an inspired choice!

That issue of El Sorprendente Hombre Araña #128 is, well, amazing

I am not rebuking anyone's cover here, it's just for me this should be about comics written in other languages, not just translations of American comics, which most seem to be.
So I am voting for seismic-2 and the original French Mobeus cover.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

In what multiverse do the rules of the contest surpass my need to beat an old overplayed joke deeper into the ground?
I’ll don the mask and wear the cape
If I am super, how can I wait?
