    Default Magneto Theory

So Magneto did not want to be resurrected. Could his being brought back and being pissed about it reset the status quo between he and Professor X? Or maybe whoever brings him back like Scott and Jean? I’ve been thinking about how he might be brought back with the level of importance the story will need. It is quite possible something like this could lead to the upcoming “Fall of X”. Thoughts?

What theories do you have for Magneto’s return?

It'd be incredibly bold of them to give Magneto a very dramatic death and revive him in less than a year

My theory is that it doesn't really matter. The X-Men office in its current state just comes up with random ideas, mixes them with whatever they think the "status quo" should be based on their nostalgia from 30+ years ago, then makes those ideas happen in the sloppiest and laziest ways imaginable.

He'll be back early 2023. Just in time to kick Nimrod in the teeth.

Don't see the point for Magneto to return any time soon, at least not during the Krakoa age. He died a heroic death and in a sense he fulfilled Xavier's dream as he died to protect the planet, including all the people who hated and feared him. So let him stay dead for awhile of maybe even forever. I think it is a good final story, much better than a yet another face-hill turn.

People used to die outside of Resurrection Protocols and come back all the time - sometimes even on the final page of the same issue.

This gives Nimrod plenty of time to find his true calling as the Construction Worker in an all-synthezoid Village People tribute act.

Why not the Buffy Summers angle.

They forced his resurrection because they believe he is in hell and need him to destroy something.

But Mags come backs depressed and sad instead of always angry Mags.

Make a series and focus in his close characters reactions to him being resurrected. a Angry Storm for the disrepect, a ashamed Charles, a offended Magnus Family (Lorna, Wanda, Pietro and the Kids) a finally a repentant Moira X that realize that Mags is not Charles and maybe she wants to leave Orchis and being back to be a Mutant.

What about they inadvertently bring back the harder more 'evil' version of Magneto from the past? Kind of like the way past Wanda was brought back in TOM. It would be really cool to see that version of Mags interact with stuff today.

I'm not crazy about Magneto doing yet another U-turn towards the dark side, but we know how everything is cyclical in comics so I'm sure it will happen eventually. As far as motivations go though, being mad at Charley because he resurrected him against his wishes isn't even the worst option.

Oh hey, now that Magneto is dead, the 'no duplicates!' rule can go die in a fire and Joseph can be added to the resurrection queue!

    Insert "Always has been" joke.

And now that it was basicly inflated into meaninglessness, there is even less force to push them against casualy pulling it off ever page.

Problem i see here is that not a lot of readers care about Joseph and he has very little story potential left. So if anything he would either be used as a cheap placeholder until mags is back or just be used as backround filler while occasionaly pulled out for a quick plot resolution and discarded again like all characters who aren't faces of the brand.

Plus there is Polaris sitting in the corner waiting for her chance to finaly be written well and taken the mantle of master of magnetism.
