Is Ned under the cowl or is it a person we haven't suspected yet?

Spiderman with a glider reminds me of that one transformers cartoon that made it a big deal that an autobot can fly just something you ain’t use to seeing.

The recap page has dropped the "Peter Parker did something" and any mention of MJ. Now they're going full steam ahead on Peter and Felicia without even alluding to what happened or why he and MJ broke up.

It is not just Ned Wells cannot write. He belongs in the historically bad Spider-Man writers with ONeill and Wolfman

I want to feel more invested in a new Hobgoblin mystery, but I'm just not.

Obviously, because there are more crucial mysteries around Spider-Man right now than the identity of the Hobgoblin.

I don't think it's just that. I just don't feel emotionally invested in this.

The sad thing is that Dennis O'Neill (R.I.P.) and Marv Wolfman were otherwise good if not great writers with other characters, particularly over at DC Comics, but somehow flopped big-time when it came to Spider-Man.
The spider is always on the hunt.

Was Wolfman that bad? I thought he and Len Wein (whose runs I often get conflated in my head) were considered generally okay if uneventful. I’ve always read that O’Neill was considered the first truly bad Spidey run. Granted the era post-original clone saga (1975?) to just before Stern took over (1982?) is one of my least collected periods of Spidey. I probably have read less than a dozen issues from that entire mid 70s to very early 80s era.

Back on topic, Wells hasn’t grabbed me (to be honest, even his Beyond work seemed stronger) and I’m still baffled why anyone thought it was necessary to bring back Ned Leeds, who always struck me as completely devoid of any character. And if they were determined to use him, he literally had a clone just lying around.

Perhaps this is the Hobgoblin from clone conspiracy being used by the Queen Goblin as well as Chasm and they are using Ned as well.

This whole issue that Marvel has when it comes to the relationship between Peter and Mary Jane is getting worse and worse, it's pathetic and they need to settle it once and for all.

Me neither, but the sooner this ends, the sooner we can get into another story that would explian us what the Hell happened during these six months.
