Default DC Comics January 2023 Solicitations

EDIT: DC Comics January 2023 Solicitations

Seems the new DC Connect is/was up early on DC Universe Infinite - screenshots floating around including the checklist, only new things we didn't know about beforehand I believe are Batman: Legends of Gotham #1 and DC's Harley Quinn Romances #1

DC's Harley Quinn Romance's may actually be the Valentine's Day anthology special rather than a new Harley Quinn book.

I guess batman vs robin #5 just doesn't exist lol

I'm really excited about lazarus planet, it seems like a really fun event that will actually have consequences for the DCU after it. I hope there are more plans for Yara than just being a sidekick in the current WW run though, hopefully she at least gets to be apart of a team book.

I assume it'll act as a coda of sorts for Lazarus Planet.

You forgot "Batman: The Adventures Continue Season Three #1".
That's the one based on the animated series.

And any word yet if Legends of Gotham is an on-going or a one-shot? It is scheduled for the fifth week of the month.

I don't think that's been formally announced yet?

I think LoG is succeeding Urban Legends.

I read the news in newsarama and it seems to be a double-sized one-shot tied with Lazarus planet.

Checklist lists it as "Available Tuesday, January 10, 2023".

To me the wording leaves it a bit ambiguous on whether it's a one-shot tie-in or whether it's a new series that is initially tying into Lazarus Planet.

Batman: Legends of Gotham puts the Dark Knight's legacy at risk during Lazarus Planet

Ya - I just kind of assumed we knew that was coming.

Take a shot every time you read the word Batman.

It's like every writer they hire wants to write Batman only.

Does anyone know why it's like this?
Even the hard-core comic readers must get tired of reading 15 Batman titles every month.

I think DC as a company is struggling financially. They can't sell anything other than Batman.

But do readers get tired of buying all those Batman titles?

Do comic book shops get tired of ordering all those Batman titles?

Boring month. As always. The collections aren’t even interesting.

Hopefully that Action Comics price tag ($5 for 48 pages!) is correct. An extra dollar for what looks like 16 pages of 'backup' stories is something I hope works out.

I feel like the solicit just threw that in there to draw a few more readers (or orders) or at least make it feel like it is connected to something.

Hope this relaunch kicks things into overdrive because this is three straight months so far of some boring content.
