I was watching Stargirl and - (be honest) as many of us do - fiddling about on the internet. Suddenly, the actors start speaking Spanish, which snatched my attention back to the TV to catch the subtitles, as my command of the language is... suboptimal.

Random Thought: Does Media do that deliberately, to ensure we're looking at the screen when the ads hit?

I play games on a website that shows a lot of video ads for those who don't want to pay to become a member. I've noticed that, if I switch tabs to look at something else while the ad is running, when I come back I find that the ad had stopped while I was gone and started up again as soon as I came back to the game site.
