Marjorie Liu's Astonishing X-Men Iceman arc.

It's so fucking good!! Such a deep look into the character and his history! Made me appreciate comics a lot more.

    Weapon X

    E is For Extinction

    HOX/POX

    Astonishing X-Men (Whedon Run)

Each brought something new and has become a classic either for the art, the story telling, or the impact it made on the franchise

A couple of gritty, grounded Wolverine stories that I think are really, really top-notch…

Bloody Choices by Tom DeFalco and John Buscema

Not Dead Yet by Warren Ellis and Leinil Yu

"Brothers in Arms", MARVEL COMICS PRESENTS #132-136

I'm not a fan of Dan Slott's, though his writing is solid here in one of my favorite Wolvie adventures. The real star of the show is the late artist Steve Lightle and his unimitable style of depicting Logan, Cyber, atmosphere, and action.

    GAMBIT 1-4

Action and atmosphere is also captured in Lee Weeks' artwork as he and writer Howard Mackie take Gumbo back to N'awlins for unfinished family business.

The Roy Thomas/Neal Adams all too short run on the original X-Men, issues 56 - 63. The art from Adams is some of his best here in my opinion: https://www.supermegamonkey.net/chro...men_5763.shtml

Agreed. The climax from Issue #59 is still an all-time great (IMHO):
