He does start off the book saying that he should be dead, so it's not like he isn't aware of that.

    Was it a cash grab...sure.
Would Keanu have made it better to watch....likely.
Did not taking the role land him in a bit of a black list situation for awhile? Those are the rumors.

Reeves was never Blacklisted since the late 80's the dude has done 2 to 3 films every year there's a few years here and there where he did 1 film a year but on Average it's 2 to 3. 35 years of steady work doesn't equate to being blacklisted to me.

Correction...only blacklisted by Fox but major studios avoided him for a time.

While talking about the actor, Keanu Reeves was once blacklisted by Fox for around fourteen years. Back in 2019, the actor sat down with GQ and talked about being put in “movie jail” by the famous studio for turning down Speed 2 after the first instalment in 1994 became a box office hit.

The upside is you can still make stuff with Sour Milk. Not so much with his career...

I ask how/why Charlie Sheen is still alive when almost any other celeb dies. In his particular case, I feel it's a legitimate question.

I get that Perry was trying to be glib, but I think he picked the wrong name to put in writing.

Fox should have apologized to him for even trying to put him in that pile of crap. If he had done Speed 2: Cruise Control, I really think that would have hurt his career worse than not doing it.

Didn't seem to hurt Bullock's or Dafoe's careers.

If we use that, then he is essentially immortal.
