Looks like Cavill just gave up Geralt in exchange.

Probably that and maybe issues with the showrunners.

I'm glad Cavill gets another shot but I prefer him outside of this role so IDK.

    I'll wait and see.

I would like Superman to fight Brainiac and for goodness sake keep Lex out of it I can't stand that nervous actor, the real Lex should be "super" confident and sure of himself and ruthless, as that's what makes him dangerous..

Watch Cavill in Mission Impossible: Fallout. You'll see a different side to him.
And also in Man from Uncle.

not too excited, but I am going to give him another chance to make a decent performance as Superman. Yay.

    Yes.

Cavill has the chops for the role ... IF he's allowed to actually show it. He was terrific in The Man From UNCLE movie.

Even the very best actor can't overcome both terrible writing and terrible directing at the same time.

The desire to bring "an immensely joyful Superman" comment from him has my hopes up.

Man from Uncle was amazing. Sad we'll not likely see any sequels, with his co-star being the new celebrity spokesperson for Vores.

Well the sequel was DOA after the box office results anyway.

There's some who still think he might have a chance at Bond. He seems to be about the age they're looking for.

I sense it was more of the writers room veering from the source material AND Netflix not wanting to wait on Cavill.

Cavill's performance in JLA was my favorite aspect of that film. Cavill suffered the same fate as many of the actors in the Titans series. They were cast brilliantly, but not given very good material.

I don't need Luthor in the next Superman movie, but if he's there -- the part absolutely must be recast. We don't need any of prior's directors crappy ideas bleeding into this film.
