I mean, Dark Web isn't really an X-line crossover at all and the only thing X about it is a tie-in mini not impacting ongoings at all, and it's not even clear that this X-Men/Captain Marvel arc is a direct issue-to-issue crossover vs. two stories taking place around the same time and same themes.

If the main villain is an X-character who was just propped up in an X-book (NM) and heavily features the main team, and is advertised as a Spider-Men, X-Men, and Venom crossover then I have no reason to not call it a crossover or at least an event.

To be fair, the covers all lining up to form one big picture is a pretty strong indication its a direct crossover.

I'm actually not so sure. The way the article is written makes it sound like that there are actually two separate stories, "Revenge of the Brood" in Captain Marvel (#43-48) and "Lord of the Brood" in X-Men (#19-21), with Captain Marvel #49 then tying together threads from both arcs for the conclusion.

It just sorta dawned on me, lol, that we've only seen...
just 4 out of the 6 connecting covers:

w/XM 19+20 & CM 46+47...
leaving 21 & 48 respectively
+ the unconnected [?] finale, #49,
of course.

Also, 2 Cap'n M's, making 1 [Carol's clone?]... Binary?

Yeah, she was created in the Last of the Marvels arc. She doesn't usually look like human Carol though (but she has made herself look like Carol once or twice in the past so that could be her in the cover).
