It's been a bit since I read it, so maybe I have some of the details wrong, but The Killing Joke Joker (The Comedian) is the only one left at the end and it explains he is the original and created the rest of the Jokers. So all the others were fakes. Then at the end Johns changes the story in The Killing Joke where the wife of the Joker in that series wasn't killed by him and instead Batman helped her relocate to Alaska where she is now living in a house there with the Joker's son. So the series was Johns writing a stealth sequel to The Killing Joke.
    end of spoilers
Even if the killing joke one was the first, did it even imply that the other two did not do any of the things the Joker is know for?
Who to say the other two were not active almost since the beginning or at least for years?

    What do you think?

Not the worst read ever. Pointless and lackluster imo.

Isn't that the case with 97% of the Bat-books these days?

I'm sure the others were active and did things, but I can't remember if they acted on their own or if it was all directed by The Killing Joke one.

Could the clown have been the one to kill Jason and if not than why not?

If I had to come up with a reason then it would be that Johns wanted The Comedian Joker to be the one to do all the major bad things. Since he is the main one. I don't know though. The Clown could have done it.

I don't think the story was very good overall. Great art but the book felt like a very self-indulgent project for Johns' ego in the end.

Does anyone know how this would have gone if it had been done in Johns Justice League run as originally intended?

How we be sure that the comedian was the first Joker?

    Can we?

Some other writer may come along and over-write what Johns did and then we can just go back to forgetting about this again.

It's Black Label. You can ignore already at will.
"Has Sariel summoned you here, Azrael? Have you come to witness the miracle of your brethren arriving on Earth?"

"I WILL MIX THE ASHES OF YOUR BONES WITH SALT AND USE THEM TO ENSURE THE EARTH THE TEMPLARS TILLED NEVER BEARS FRUIT AGAIN!"

"*sigh* I hoped it was for the miracle."

Dan Watters' Azrael was incredible, a constant delight and perhaps too good for this world (but not the Forth). For the love of St. Dumas, DC, give us more!!!

The Three Jokers were shown in the justice league comics and DCU: rebirth.

What were Geoff Johns original plan for the story?

I liked the idea but not the execution. It would've been better as part of the Earth One graphic novels.

I think I'm the opposite: Hated the idea (of 3 Jokers...I still hate the idea by the way), but was surprised that Johns executed a better Batman story than he usually does.
Things I love: Batman, Superman, AEW, old films, Lovecraft

Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”

The thing I probably liked the most was just the idea that Joker orchestrated all of this just to get Batman to forgive Joe Chill so he would have room to hate Joker more.
