    Wow, thank you all who voted for me! CaptainEurope , icctrombone, seismic-2, and CaptCleghorn! I just came back from a night screening of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (as it opened in some countries already) and first thing I see is a message that I won! I have a theme already in mind and will post if after this one.

    I was able to witness local 1998 elections in California. We were all in the US for a family wedding in late October, and come November my sister's godparents cast their votes. They took us with them and while we didn't go close to the voting booth we introduced ourselves from the Philippines and what happened after that was a discussion on how elections differ between our two countries. The voting location was at or next to a neighbor's garage if my memory serves me right, and people were taking their time to vote, there weren't any lines, it was all quiet. In sharp contrast to elections here. (The last general one, in May had folks from our precinct waiting until 2 AM the next morning to vote because of voting machine irregularities.)
