Or maybe not accidentally. As Agatha's Ghost said in the Wolverine #27 thread in response to someone saying Sage's drinking is because of Beast's influence:

It would be a twist and a half if Sage is behind his further fall from grace.

Well ever since the HOX/POX retcon of basicly the entire X-men history, everyone is being manipulated for decades. Infact i'm still expecting the big reveal that Moira X herself has been manipulated the whole time and she never had any free will over her actions.

Beast always forgives his friends so i don't see why they shoudn't forgive him. Does beast have a single friend that hasn't done worst than him at some point in time according to the canons? he just needs a writer to save the good beast. Well Cyclops is like the only one that has the right to drag him now thinking about how personal beast was against cyclops on so many issues cyclops was right about but outside of that hank has tried to meet people where they were and respected their free will and that can't be a mutant that's all bad.

Granted this is from someone who accepted hank's rationale for going back in time and saving the inhumans during uncanny humans when it would have meant the mists would have never happened. While i question hank's loyatlies one couldn't question his moralities so he in my opinion is just a really good character a dr. jekyll and mr. hyde but sometimes jekyll is the most rational and that comes of as kind and other times hyde is the most kind but that comes off as a sense of torture when you logically think about the execution. lol
