    Seems like the former...

Also remember when King made it seem like Penguin married a literal penguin? Kind of funny in light of this recent issue.

Why does King insist on turning the wacky, fun Batman villains into total weirdos. Both Riddler and Penguin have been made into something they never were.

Many modern Batman writers are only interested in writing Joker so they simply turn every villain into a Joker knockoff.

Yeah its not really a thing exclusive to King. Both characters are regularly written on opposite extreme ends of depravity or goofy.

We just came off a Batman movie that turned Riddler into the Zodiac Killer or this video showcasing some of the worst **** Penguin has done.

It seems Oswald's Ex-Wife was at one time a recurring character in YOUNG LOVE, Lisa St. Claire.

Read an early review of issue 6 - one reviewer called it the best book he has read this year. High praise for a Tom King book.

Even the Joker feels like a Joker knock-off most of the time now.

Another solid issue. This title is keeping high quality, maybe a little slow pace.
It's pure King style and this time I'm still hooked wanting more. Last time that happened was with Omega Men and Kyle Rayner, can't remember how many yeras ago.

Well nice to see the Penguin kids take after their father. The apple certainly doesn't fall far from the tree.

Interesting how this conflict will go, since both parties are fundamentally despicable and horrible people. Its not like Penguin is any better than them, the only difference is that he's the star of the book.
