Hmm, kind of a weak opening for "the Dawn of DC".

Only eye catching to me is probably Shazam.

Hope this WW "team up" with Yara ends sooner rather than later. Not a fan of her book picking up plot points from Yara's failed book.

I wish WW sold like Yara failed book did. It mooved units

    And then it was cancelled.

Was there a point to this or you just upset I don't care for Yara?

It’s probably why they announced more books are coming.
But I’m pretty happy with the new Superman line and in the long run I think it’s a better decision to time out the new launches so that new books aren’t lost in the shuffle.
(I do hope they improve their marketing though. Wildcats came out with no competition and yet nobody is talking about it).

    Picking up:

Action Comics #1052 (I love the value on this book)
    Batman vs Robin #5
DC Horror Presents: Sgt Rock vs the Army of the Dead #6
Punchline #5 (Glad Gleb is back on art)
    Superman #1

Almost all of those are going to end up being March 1st buys. I will probably end up adding the Lazarus Planet event books since my pull list is going to be pretty empty in the new year and it looks like there might be a few stories that tease some future books.

This month's count: 29 books with a bat-character, 23 without. Up from last month but it's still lower than it was around this time last year.

    Getting:

-Superman #1: The creative team looks decent so I'll give it a shot.
-Batman #132: Artgerm doing Catwoman again? Yes, please!
    -Nightwing #101
    -Batgirls #15
    -Black Adam #8
    -Justice Society of America #4
    -Stargirl: The Lost Children #4
    -The Flash #792
    -The Flash #793
    -Tim Drake: Robin #6
Last Read: Aquaman & The Flash: Voidsong

Monthly Pull List: Alan Scott: The Green Lantern, Birds of Prey, Daredevil, Geiger, Green Arrow, Justice Ducks, Justice Society of America, Negaduck, Nightwing, Phantom Road, Shazam!, Suicide Squad: Dream Team, Thundercats, Titans

Not really into Yara either. Found her to be spoiled, boring and just not very interesting over all.

As for the initial announcement (initial as it seems there's 20 new books planned for this year) it's a little disappointing that there are zero female lead books announced so far.

Steelworks is led by Natasha Irons as the new, primary Steel.

Superman -#1 the plot sounds suspiciously like what’s going on over at marvel with spider man. And dick’s new titans team looks a lot like his old one. The Shazam cover with the shazamily looks nice, though. Hope there’s a poster of it coming. Lazarus planet sounds like it has a lot going on; kind of wish I paid more attention to it.

Now that the boring Young Diana back-ups are ending, hopefully they will follow that with something with Cassie or Donna.
DC: Dick Grayson, Wally West, Donna Troy, Yara Flor, Titans

Some of my favorite Mangas: One Piece, Slam Dunk, Fullmetal Alchemist, HunterXHunter, Vinland Saga, Monster, Berserk, Vagabond.
Current reading: Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, Spy X Family, Kaiju Nș8, Blue Lock, Dandadan.

Doesn't quite sound like she is leading the book according to the release so much as being part of the cast along with her Uncle John as the book looks to focus more on his 30th anniversary than a headlining role for her. Not saying she wont have a significant role, just not a headlining one.

Just in time for his 30th anniversary, John Henry Irons must bring Metropolis into the future while trusting his niece Natasha to carry the mantle of Steel.
