After several headless bodies show up in Miami, Dexter decides to put the man responsible on his table. Can Dexter take down The Kurgan? The Kurgan does not, at least at first, know he is being hunted by a serial-killer.

But the Kurgan always knows he’s being hunted.
That’s kind of the whole deal with the immortals in Highlander - that they’ll gradually kill each other to become more powerful. “There can be only one”, etc.
Plus, can the Kurgan even be killed by a non-immortal? That part I forget.

Dexter is up against a paranoid dude (as Beadle notes) who is a jump past human. Unless Dexter knows what he's up against, I suspect he's going to get a very bad shock.
Why are we here?
"Superboy Prime (the yelling guy if he needs clarification)..." - Postmania
"...dropping an orca whale made of fire on your enemies is a pretty strong opening move." - Nik
"Why throw punches when you can be making everyone around you sterile mutant corpses?" - Pendaran, regarding Dr. Fate
I can just imagine Dexter trying to kill him by injection or slitting his throat, or stabbing him through the heart or something and the Kurgan just getting back up and laughing it off.
That's the problem. There are a lot of ways to kill Dexter and only one way to kill Kurgan.
I think Kurgan has crazy strength feats to, like slicing apart boulders with his sword. Even if Dexter manages to drug him and tie him to his table, I can see Kurgan just waking up, breaking the bindings and pasting Dexter on the spot.

Yes. Ramirez tells Connor very clearly "if your head comes away from your neck, it's over."
This is shown in Highlander: The Series. Darius, Jacob and Irena Galati are all slain by mortals. Mikey Bellows and Carlo Sendaro are beheaded by speeding trains etc. Doesn't matter how it happens, whether it's done by another Immortal, a mortal or an inanimate object, if an Immortal is decapitated they die for good.

Cool. The fact remains, Dexter’s basically screwed.
