Default The Amazing Spider-Man: One Last Dance Saga

These are ideas for an imaginary Amazing Spider-Man run that came about from a conversation in the What's The Problem With Spider-Man Comics Today? thread about how to go about undoing One More Day. I decided to refine those ideas and make them into a list of "Previews" for what would probably end up being one of the most insane, hopefully compelling and probably divisive Amazing Spider-Man runs of all time if it could ever become a reality, I also expanded these ideas into full arcs. I've made a big old list of the characters that would show up in this arc if it were real at ComicVine. Enjoy!

    1. "One Last Dance: The Heart of The World" - The lives of Peter Parker and his longtime on and off again girlfriend/ex-fiancée Mary Jane Watson are about to change forever as The Redeemer, the living embodiment of The Enigma Force, returns to Earth for the first time in years to return something precious that was lost to them, but will they be able to hold onto it when The Redeemer begins to show an intense distrust of Mary Jane?

    2. "One Last Dance: Imposters Among Us" - After the shocking events of last issue, Peter and The Redeemer find themselves on the run with That Which Was Lost after upending the lives of everyone who thought they knew Mary Jane Watson including her current boyfriend Paul!

    3. "One Last Dance: Finding Ways to Deal" - What is the one thing that Peter Parker, Mary Jane Watson, Johnny Blaze, Miles Morales, Otto Octavius, Stephen Strange and Tony Stark all have in common? That is the question The Redeemer seeks to answer as he and That Which Was Lost delve into some of The Enigma Force's oldest memories.

    4. "One Last Dance: Moments in Time" - It's time to suit up for a Journey Into Mystery as Peter Parker, Johnny Blaze and The Redeemer take That Which Was Lost into the wild spaces of The Outside to retrieve the enigmatic Books of Peter, Mary Jane and Johnny. What are these strange fragments of Creation and what mysteries do they contain?

    5. "One Last Dance: Revelations" - The truth behind Peter Parker's greatest sin stands revealed as The Redeemer tears open the false universe of Earth-81545, a world in which Peter Parker did not make it to his and Mary Jane's wedding! But where is the real Mary Jane Watson-Parker? The answer will surprise you!

    6. "One Last Dance Finale: Redemption" - After the events of Civil War and Back in Black, Peter Parker was forced to make a decision that forever changed his life. Now, as he prepares to dive straight into Hell to save Mary Jane, he must once again make a similar life-altering choice as The Redeemer offers him one final chance at redemption. What path will Peter choose this time?

    7. "Paths: Separate Ways" - As everyone grieves over the deaths of her husband Peter and his Aunt May, Mary Jane Watson-Parker and her five year old daughter May "Mayday" Parker begin the next phase of their lives. But who in the Wild World of Sports is Paul and why is he claiming to be Mary Jane's boyfriend?

    8. "Paths: With Ultimate Power..." - The Redeemer once walked the path of the Warrior to save the Microverse from a madman and walked the path of the Healer following his resurrection but now, in the wake of Peter Parker's death, he finds himself on the verge of another major course correction. The path of the Paladin now lies before him, will The Redeemer claim the mantle of Captain Universe for himself or give into the darkness?

    9. "Paths: Coming of Age" - Miles Morales is having trouble adjusting to life as New York's one and only Amazing Spider-Man and a change in tactics as he finds himself picking up Peter's workload. After learning of his growing distress, Mary Jane offers to help Miles make sense of the situation he has found himself thrust into and come to terms with Peter's passing.

    10. "Paths: Cats in the Cradle" - Felicia Hardy a.k.a. The Black Cat finds herself crawling back up from an abyss of despair as she deals with coming to terms with Peter's death, the crushing guilt of dating him and befriending a false Mary Jane while the real deal was in mortal danger and her newly restored memories of the true timeline.

    11. "Paths: All the King's Horses" - Miles and Captain Universe's unending crusades against the forces of evil on both ends of the power spectrum has lead to the dismantling of Wilson Fisk's largest operations, dramatically reducing the size and influence of his criminal empire, leading to the rise of several would-be crime lords who see this as an opportunity to take the big man down once and for all. Meanwhile, Mary Jane's life becomes even more complicated when Wolverine comes around for a visit, trying to find the reason behind his newly restored memories of living alongside her and Peter at Avengers Tower.

    12. "Paths Finale: All for One and One for All" - The dawn of a new Heroic Age is at hand! After finding a recording Peter made prior to his death, Mary Jane forms the think tank aptly named "Amazing Friends" comprised of herself, her daughter Mayday, Captain Universe, Miles Morales: The Amazing Spider-Man and The Black Cat in hopes of brainstorming a permanent way to honor Peter's legacy as Spider-Man and the lives he touched.

    13. "Amazing Friends Prologue: Clash of the Spiders" - While news of the newly established Amazing Spider-Man Foundation backed by Mary Jane Watson-Parker and her Amazing Friends begins making waves across the Marvel Universe, Miles finds himself in a fight for his life against the Bonnie and Clyde-esque ride or die duo of Chasm and Hallow's Eve! But something seems off about them, even more so than usual, whatever could it be?

    14. "Amazing Friends: Beyond Good and Evil" - While Miles teams up with The Slingers to investigate the alleged return of Eddie McDonough a.k.a. The Hornet, Chasm and Hallow's Eve find themselves in Captain Universe's crosshairs as he realizes they are being controlled from outside space-time by the faceless Mr. Beyond.

    15. "Amazing Friends: Light and Shadow" - Captain Universe elicits help from his opposite, the King in Black, and an even greater power, The Phoenix Force, in order to deal with the Multiverse-ending threat of Mr. Beyond in The Outside while Miles and The Slingers face off against Hornet, Chasm and Hallow's Eve.

    16. "Amazing Friends: Mary Jane & Black Cat: Into the Microverse" - Mary Jane and Felicia Hardy fight a desperate battle to protect both themselves and Mayday after Mr. Beyond's reality-twisting death strands them on the planet of Yttrium in the Microverse, where the Squadron Sinister's Hyperion reigns as its Emperor and the Sinister Six now serve as his Imperial Enforcers.

    17. "Amazing Friends: Mayday & Slapstick's Echhscellent Adventure!" - After the harrowing events of "Into the Microverse", everyone is in desperate need of a vacation, thankfully the Impossible Man has the perfect place in mind...Dimension Echhs! Can the awesome hero Slapstick and young Mayday Parker save her beloved mother Mary Jane and her friends the powerless Captain Universe, the all-too curious Black Cat and the less-than-Spectacular Miles Morales: Spider-Man from the crazy machinations of Obnoxio the Clown before they all get pies to the face?

    18. "Amazing Friends: Love vs. Marriage" - Mary Jane finds herself in the middle of the ultimate couples dispute between Captain Universe and his estranged wife Cilicia, the Queen of Lost Spartak! Can examples of the problems she and Peter Parker once faced in their own marriage and the ways in which they overcame them prevent a lethal divorce?!

    19. "Amazing Friends Finale: One Year Later" - It has been one year since Mary Jane was rescued from the clutches of Mephisto, reunited with a daughter she thought stillborn and lost her husband to the machinations of fate. As the rain falls outside this night, Mary Jane finds herself learning things about her husband even she was not aware of as Lord Chaos and Master Order come to pay their respects to their former champion's beloved.

    20. "Amazing Friends Epilogue: The Road Home" - In another world, Peter Parker's wife Mary Jane was killed by the Kingpin's assassin, he got his revenge and has languished in jail for over a year but now, without warning, he finds himself in another world...one in which he died saving her from the ultimate foe. Determined to get the woman he loves back, Peter Parker makes his way home...
