The Conan cover immediately struck me as a fan-creation, which is why I brought it up well in advance of the voting period.
Keeping an open mind, I thought, yes, it could be a variant, but I couldn't find it--so I asked for the source for the image.
The only thing I came up with on my own is the image's address, which told me it's from a blog ("blogspot.com" and a whole bunch of letters and numbers, nothing that identifies the blog). So yes, my hunch is that it's a fan-concocted creation.
NOTE: there is another cover here that's not from a comic book or trade or comic book collection or graphic novel, but in the past I've brought up that particular cover so many times to no avail that I figured it was useless to mention it again. So I didn't.
I get it, people are here for fun and are going to submit and vote for what they like, regardless of whether the cover is truly from a comic book/graphic novel/collection/etc. Perhaps it's time to dispense with that and let people post whatever art they want-- we could amend the the weekly "rules" to state that as long as the art is somewhat connected to comic books/comic book artists, it's fair game.Last edited by Shalla Bal; 12-06-2022 at 08:20 PM.

I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:
Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.
