ya see the thing with humor is that it could either be real funny or completley terrible, the nightmare comes with everyone thinking your unfunny.

    Weird Horrors #7, 1953

Originally done as a painting; comic book publisher Archer St. John bought the painting (and two others) from artist William Ekgren, and used it for this comic book cover.
St. John returned the paintings to Ekgren afterwards.

Couldn't decide between Alex Ross, Marko Djurdjevic or Dustin Nguyen, at the end Nguyen won it with the cute:

I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

Is that a real cover of a published comic book, or trade collection? ( "Covers must be from a Published Comic Book, Graphic Novel, or Collected Volume!" etc.)

The October-cover dated, 15-cents Conan #1 had a Barry Windsor-Smith cover. This looks like a mash-up of a Frazetta art piece or poster superimposed on top of the real #1 issue's cover.

Is there a source for the Frazetta image that shows that this is the cover of an actual comic book issue or collection

It's from a Conan paperback book, never used for a Marvel Conan comic. And certainly not Conan #1.

There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!
