That's GOT to be his solo.
Why else would they mention Quicksilver??? I mean, obviously he was in other things, but I'm pretty sure that this is his solo or some sort of trickery Marvel is pulling.
Either way, I already own his solo, and I'm not spending another cent on Marvel's 90s-anything.
Sorry, Marvel, it just wasn't a spectacular time for you.

I thought of that, too, when I first saw this. The only thing I can think of for them reprinting this is that it HAS to have something to do with the upcoming Secret Wars event. Why else would they reprint this one. So maybe clues in those issues as to what they're planning on doing, at least with Carol. (??)

Guys, what book from Civil War event I should get/know? I know some of them are OOP and pricey, but I don't know about this event much, and with all those Marvel movies based on CW, I'd like to read something. From what I've seen in shelfporn thread, there are 6 main books, is that correct?
The main event is told - obviously - in Civil War, which you need, and then a good in-depth telling in Front Line. After that, I suggest Spider-Man, since he's a major player and the Avengers, since it's pretty good (however these stories for the most part are also collected in the Avengers OHCs).
I read them all, and I don't recall X-Men or FF being very memorable. The Underside to my dismay kind of sucked (I really wanted this one to be good, too).
In the end, I sold all of them except Civil War, Front Line and Spider-Man (didn't want to break up my JMS OHC run).
I doubt the movie version will be all that closely resembling the comic version, but really the main event is the core you need to read.
The Spider-Man one would be a close second, as it ties pretty closely to the whole thing. But that one, I believe, is the "white whale" book that's extremely hard to find and pricey (someone correct me if I'm wrong).
I would imagine they'll at least reprint the TPB of the main event, if they haven't already, before the movie comes out, they might even reprint some of the OHCs or make an omnibus of some of it - who knows.
But from what I remember, the core event is really all you truly need to understand things.

So we're not allowed to discuss competitors in contrasting posts? It's all comics, man. Many of us are fans of multiple companies and characters, as well as artists and writers, especially when the work for multiple companies. No matter how big a fan I am of a character, or how good/bad the art is on said title, the story is always more important to me. Personally, I don't like one company more than another. Dc just happened to have better stories in the mid 90s(for the most part) due to having better writers, than Marvel did. Marvel had some fantastic things going on in the early 00s when DC didn't. Just how things are.
That's great and your opinion, so lets let me have mine as well. As I've said I just prefer marvel characters. I've got Morrison's JLA and Waid's Flash and enjoy those as well, I even like some Image like Stormwatch and Supreme. I'm just saying Marvel wasn't as bad as you guys make it out to be.
There's more fans of the nineties than you know, they're just scared to say it cause all you anti 90's guys jump all over them.
I don't remember that we bashed your opinion. We just said we liked 90s Dc better than Marvel in the 90s and wanted to share our enjoyment with you. I actually like some Marvel in the 90s (Weapon X, David's Hulk, Heroes for Hire etc.) but I (and the majority of comic fans) like Dc better in that period. Just as I (and the majority of comic fans) think Marvel dominated over Dc in the early 80s/late 70s and the 60s.

Is that main event then?

Would somebody post a list of HC books? I'm checking Amazon right now and getting even more confused, it's just too many of them.
