Thanks Cerd & Balakin (I missed the pics, time to read back). I have Avengers, FF and Daredevil on the way. If I like them when I get them, will order the rest. I don't quite know where I will keep all this stuff (Omni's, Absolutes, OHCs, Epic's) but guess I'll figure something out. Maybe time to go 2 books deep on the Expedit

    Beautiful shelf porn.

People have mentioned the covers of current omnibus and ohc since the quality downgrade. I hate the paper downgrade but I kinda love the beautiful art on the covers now. Especially the superior spiderman ohc. I wanna keep the dust jackets off those.

I was seriously tempted, what with IST's steep discount, but I opted for Dr. Strange a la carte since I already have vols 2-5. I just don't see myself trying to track down the remaining volumes of those other series, and OCD would not permit a bunch of ransom vol 1's...

Are you sure it's thinner than newsprint? I would've thought newsprint was more the Essential style. I am no expert on paper but if newsprint paper is like a newspaper then the Epics are far thicker than that... Apologies If I am inaccurate here.
Suffice to say the Epics are great. Excellencent reproduction and a focus on competing huge classic (and sometimes not so classic) runs.

It was tempting but I decided I'm going to pass. I have a lot of that stuff in other formats and taking a dive in the masterworks pool might just be too much for me now. I do not own any Masterworks at all but will be picking up Ms Marvel vol1 as that material, as far as I know, does not exist in color anywhere.

Still debating it, but leaning towards "No." I'm interested in the material, but with a few of the titles having forthcoming Epics with the same material, I can't justify the cost. I will, however, be jumping all over the Dr. Strange volume 1 reprint, since that has been OOP and ridiculously priced for quite a while.

Going to try and get an Epic Collection post going to go along side with the Omnibus OOP / Almost OOP list I maintain.

This way everyone can keep track of what was released and will be released.
