Any of you guys have planet hulk or ww hulk in ohc? Was wondering if the bindings were glued or sewn. Also on a side note is the fall of the hulks reading order as hard to follow as some say?

They are both glued. WWH seems a little tighter but maybe that's because I've read Planet Hulk so many more times. Also I think WWH has a few more of the "panel that crosses slightly over to the next page" layout that gets lost in the gutter.

That is the tale of the declining LCS right there. I pay a little extra to keep my LCS going, but not +50%.

I think that's a huge problem with Marvel's pricing strategy--it hurts the local comic shop! I rarely visit my LCS because I don't want to pay cover price. Anymore I rarely pull the trigger online unless the books are 40% off or more because the cover is so inflated.

I tend to avoid using them because everything I buy from them takes forever to arrive, spending that long in the postal system is just increasing the chance of it taking knocks and dents so I'll only buy cheaper books from them now, not pricey Omnibus and the like.

me and my 2 friends ordered from them and all 3 books (they were all Sandman omni vol 1) arrived in 2 weeks. Strange.

The OHC order should be as follows.

Incredible Hulk:Plantet Hulk
World War Hulk
Hulk: Green Hulk/Red Hulk
Hulk: Hulk No More
Hulk: World War Hulks
Incredible Hulks: Fall of the Hulks
Incredible Hulks: World War Hulks

Just gets confusing with the 3 different World War Hulk(s) titles.

Thanks for the replies, I was considering grabbing some of those hulk ohc used (couple out there for 20 bucks) but if its glued like that I may pass. Wish theyd omni some more hulk overall, pad mantlo pak, so many good choices and I feel like jade giants got a pretty decent following no? Some pent up hulk love needs to be released here marvel!

For me I picked up the Infinity Companion Omnibus because a few issues of series I enjoy would ONLY be reprinted there (Avengers Assemble and Captain Marvel), and it also prevents me from double-dipping on the TPB of the Heist/Hunt mini-series. So far the only Infinity tie-ins I've read separately were Mighty Avengers (AMAZING) and Infinity (horrible, mostly due to the art).

I'll also probably very shortly be pulling the trigger on Infinity Companion. And yeah, I agree I think Mighty Avengers is very good especially due to Al Ewing's writing. I think he's one of the most talented writers out there.

I've just finished collecting all the Marvel Omni's on my wish list, I'm a modern comics man, don't have much that's more than 15 years old. image.jpgI use OHC's and Omni's as feature books facing out on a shelf. Just started picking up a few DC ones as feature books on the top two rows, then moving onto the bottom shelves to finish it off.

Cheapgraphicnovels warning about the Adamantium edition X-men is really discouraging. They won't guarantee the condition upon arrival. It is almost like they are trying to talk you out of buying the thing from them.

I got my Wolverine Adamantium edition from them as well as the Big Ass Conan Book from them and they did a good job with the packing. I wonder if they burned by those shipments though and had a lot of returns due to damage.

While I'm in total agreement, and consigning years of history to the waste paper bin because of a few loud-mouths is an enormous overstep, the word you're looking for is "reactive" - reactionary actually relates to a strand of conservative political belief.

I have always believed that the word "reactionary" transcends the left/right binary. After consulting several dictionaries, I can see that you are correct. Some dictionaries offer a more general definition (e.g Merriam-Webster says "relating marked by, or favoring reaction; especially : ultraconservative in politics"), but all sources link it to a strand of far right conservatism.

I stand corrected.
