Went looking for his thread instead of talking about him in other characters' threads, and realized he hasn't had one for a couple of years and that's no good. If he ever found out, he'd definitely fire his poor publicist and probably sue someone. There's no point in putting in all that effort just to look good if nobody's going to ooh and ahh appropriately!

So anyway, here. A thread. For Roberto. The center of every room he's ever walked into, if you ask him. (And even if you didn't. He'll be happy to mention it anyway.)

I've said this before, so forgive me, but Ewing is THE Sunspot writer. Since fostering him over in the New Avengers title, Sunspot has rapidly ascended through the ranks, now firmly seated in my Pantheon of favorite Mutants and I am SO glad Ewing has continued to incorporate him into RED.

Amen to that. Al Ewing elevated the character beyond a Latin stereotype. I hope he continues writing Sunspot for a few years to cement this portrayal of the character.

As in, the other X-writers don't seem so interested in writing him, let alone giving him a big role in the X-events.

Heck, even X-Men Red is about to turn into "Storm Wank: the comics" once again.

So, it's good that Ewing still gives Roberto great moments, but it would have been better if Hickman established him a a major Krakoa actor. Then maybe some other writers would have followed.
